That harsh quote came from Italian defender Marco Materazzi (aka Receiver of the Infamous Zidane head-butt) and according to Materazzi, this was what caused Zidane to head-butt him. So what did we learn from this.
1. A really stupid comment led to a sharp pain in the chest, but also took out the top player of the opposing team.
2. Materazzi has a preference for Zidane's sister
3. Don't call Zidane's sister a whore.
The question for Zidane is, "Was it worth it?" Every single minute we are presented with a decision to make. Sometimes we are given a lot of time to think it over, but often we are only given a few brief seconds to decide on how to respond. We all have made some stupid comments like Materazzi, that we may apologize for or regret making. We are also guilty of making bad decisions, like Zidane, that may of cost us more than we could imagine. We all probably have deserve a Zidane head-butt and some of you probably felt one, but we also need forgiveness. Sometimes these high profile stories can present to you a great life lesson, even if you tired of hearing about them. So what's the lesson behind Micheal Vick case and Lohan repeated DUI violations??? I do not know, but they do need forgiveness and some better friends too.
